Happy Tuesday!! Isn’t this weather wonderful? We’re taking advantage of the sunshine this week by working on some late season exteriors. Here’s one we wrapped up a few weeks back for FCC Tacoma - they got a brand spanking new roof, and it’s looking great! The Tumwater Farmer’s Market is looking nice and clean with its new coat of paint 💪 Thanks to Stan and the Parks & Rec team!

It’s door day! For interior mill-packs, we like to remove doors and spray them separately, ensuring an even coat, an even cure, and allowing us to spray them in our isolated spray booth, saving you from the extra paint smell in your home. This is our standard process for full size doors as well as closet, cabinet, or decorative doors. Once sprayed, they’re racked up and left to dry in our temperature-regulated shop. Cabinet doors and other smaller doors are hung on a drying rack as seen in the second image, while larger doors are racked and spaced horizontally. Any glass or decorative areas on the doors is thoroughly covered with masking paper and tape to prevent overspray (see image 3). Once everything is dry, the doors are ready to be taken back in and installed!

When doing interiors, we cover all flooring, windows, furniture, accessories (like outlets and knobs, etc), and fixtures in various protective materials such as plastic sheeting, masking paper, drop cloths, and more to ensure that our paint only gets where it's supposed to!
